The leisure centre is just down the road and offers a gym and other recreational activities.
Whistle Stop Play Cafe (1 mile)
There are 3 slides, a ball pool, ball juggler and ball shower, a small football area, cannon and rope bridges.
There is a separate padded toddler area with baby ball pool, keeping toddlers out of harms way.
They have created a new Baby Room with play tunnel, enclosed ball pool, baby lay-play mats and books that are aimed at under 3s. There's also a story time corner which has a range of books for all ages to choose from. Comfy seating is also a plus. The prices for taking them in here is very small.

Ever wanted to ride a horse? Try the equestrian centre (<3 miles)
On pony days you can spend the day learning to look after their ponies and have fun with your riding. We do strongly suggest you contact Hargate Hill Equestrian Centre before you set off on your family day out, just to make sure they are open and to confirm admission prices, you dont want to have to drive back disapointed.
Peak District National Park (<1 mile)
Many a great day out can be planned from this website. There are visitor centres, bike hires and great walks planned that you can take a look at.
Chatsworth House (27 miles)
Chatsworth House is the beautiful stately home of the Duke of Devonshire set in the heart of the Peak District in Derbyshire. It is believed that while Jane Austen was staying at the Rutland Arms in Bakewell writing Pride and Prejudice she visited Chatsworth - this was her inspiration for Pemberley.
Lyme Park
This glorious house, surrounded by gardens, moorland and deer park was used in the 1995 BBC television series version of Pride and Prejudice which favored Lyme Park as Darcy's Pemberley Estate . Lyme Park is famous as the location of the "lake scene," where a soaking wet Mr. Darcy (Colin Firth) emerged from his swim in the lake to meet a startled Elizabeth Bennet (Jennifer Ehle). In that scene, their encounter gave them the chance to fall in love with each other.
